12/09 s/v Trouble Update: Well, I’ve got everything done here in Ft Lauderdale and will be heading to the Bahamas tomorrow (12/10). I did my Covid test and have an approved health travel visa to enter the Bahamas.
My Float Plan: Depart Las Olas Marina at about 8 pm (12/10) and head to the Northern part of Bimini (north of Great Isaac Light) then stay north of the shoals on a path to Great Harbour Cay (Berry Islands). I should get there by noon 12/11. Conditions look good and you can track me at track.svtrouble.com. I will try to do an update via sat texting tomorrow evening. I have a slip reserved at the Great Harbour Cay Marina for a month (through the holidays) I hope to do some side trips while I’m there. I got a lot done here in Ft Lauderdale. It was very easy to get around as I knew the area well. I felt more comfortable being here now than when I lived here. Sounds weird but everything clicked and went smoothly. While checking out of the marina today the staff worker gave me tons of accolades on how well my boat was prepared and kept in shape. Considering all the mega-yachts around me that was nice to hear.
