Emerald Bay Marina, Great Exuma, BS — 02•27•23
0900—Anchor Up. I’m heading Trouble to The Marina at Emerald Bay today. I must head back to Minnesota to renew my driver’s license. It will expire on my Birthday and needs to be upgraded to the new “Real-ID-Compliant.”
My flight back to MN and license update all went well. It is a little shocking and quaint to fly from sand to snow. After the license update and visits with friends and family, I returned to the Bahamas.
Happy Birthday To Me — 03•05•23
I dropped the lines at Emerald Bay Marina and took Trouble to Lee Stocking Island. I met Mer Du Jour there and anchored in front of the abandoned Carribean Marine Research Center. With permission from the caretaker, we hiked the center and explored all the abandoned buildings.
Calabash, Long Island, BS — 03•08•23
It was time to move on and catch up with other friends. After a great day of Spinnaker sailing, we arrived in Calabash Bay, Long Island.
Thompson Bay, Long Island, BS — 03•10•23
After a rolly time, we moved anchorages down to Thompson Bay, Long Island. By this time, we were a group of three: Eos, Mer Du Jour, and Trouble. We spent some time here going out for dinner and exploring the Island by car.
Old Bight, Cat Island, BS — 03•18•23
After a quick stop at Calabash on Long Island, we were off to Old Bight Cat Island, but more about that in the next blog.
