10/28 s/v Trouble Daily Update: Anchored off Cumberland Island right off the St Mary’s River. Saw wild horses on the beach coming in. Would be a cool spot to explore for a couple of days. Hopefully, I’ll have a pretty restful night not worrying about the anchor. The sail was great. Calm seas and just enough breeze to sail the whole way. It was a short sail. Lots of medium size jellyfish in the water. Coast Guard warship (that’s what they are hailed as on the radio) followed me out the Brunswick channel and shadowed me a few miles. This was the easiest day moving the boat so far. Tomorrow will be a long day to get to St Augustine. The wind is not favorably forecasted for me. I think I’ll pull anchor before sunrise and ride the tide out along with the river flow. Looks like a long motoring day.
