Las Olas Ft Lauderdale — 11•25•21
I had Thanksgiving with family and friends in Las Olas. Even though I lived in Ft. Lauderdale for a year looking for “Trouble”, I still think it’s a weird (not in a good way) place. It was fun hanging out with friends and family, having a place to have Amazon packages delivered, but I was itching for a departure to the Bahamas.
Boosted
I got Vax Boosted and added a flu shot with it. Preparing for the Bahamas I still needed to get a negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen test ( Bahamas Health Visa Vaccinated requirements). But I would wait till my crew for the crossing came in and ended up going back to the Lab Doctor. While not free it was reasonable and very quick with the test and getting results. They are the same outfit I used last year but with a PCR.
Prepping for the Bahamas
I did an oil, filter change on both engines and went over the boat for the crossing. My crew ( Pete Peterson from EOS ) showed up and we banged out our Covid Testing, getting rid of the oil from my oil change, and did a provisioning run to Costco. We also met up with Cass’s ( from E Sea Ryder, last season ) old crew Morrie for a night of drinks.
