10/24 s/v Trouble Daily Update:
Yesterday got pretty bumpy with a large swell coming in from Hurricane Epsilon along with the local wind and the fact I moved out to the Gulfstream, which made for an uncomfortable late afternoon. The wind and waves subsided over the night as I got around Cape Fear and started moving in out of the Stream. Evening sleep went well. I motor-sailed all night so I didn’t have to keep adjusting the sails. The morning brought calm, fairly flat seas, little wind, dolphins on the bow, and a rainbow on the horizon. Pretty nice morning. I decided to head to Brunswick GA, and spend a couple of nights at a marina there that gets great reviews (morning star). I’ll get diesel, water, rest, and making plans for the rest of the summer. I should arrive at Brunswick at about 11 am tomorrow.
